The process for submitting claims depends on the student’s type of expense. However, no matter what the claim is, the Plan is designed to help students receive reimbursement as quickly as possible. Students who are covered by the Plan have an I.D. card to use when visiting a doctor or hospital and most medical claims can be billed directly to the Plan. If the student must pay the cost up front, the insurer will reimburse the student for eligible expenses within five days.
In the case of Accidental Death and Dismemberment claims or Emergency Out of Province/Country Medical Insurance and Assistance, students have access to telephone assistance 24-hours a day and can ask for help with their claims.
